I also dig your cover! It added something new and interesting to the original.
Though I couldn't necessarily say it surpasses them out right. (It just very hard to say something to that effect.)
Author's Response:
Thanks! Glad ya like it, and of course we come nowhere close to them XD

Perhaps I've been hanging out with my friends too long... I thought this was hilarious.
(For some reason I'm thinking about a scene in Crank... yes- have sex on a high traffic sidewalk!... Erhm, never mind.)
I definitely also enjoyed the instrumental part- I second DJ-xTc.

I must second PolishMatt's review, I couldn't agree more. (Having a soft spot for instrumental work in general.)
I do so believe this composition is a befitting tribute to metal musicians- the mood is perfect. As well, this is a good change of pace- I really like the variety of your body of work!

"Perfect for a Movie soundtrack..."
It felt there were certain middle-Eastern ethnic elements in the midst of this track. I liked that.
Even better, I liked how your brass/woodwinds (correct me if I'm wrong) with the guitar seemed oh so appropriate for a thriller/horror movie. It made me think of films like the Final Destination series- with Shirley Walker's compositions.

This is a first to me, listening to a musical arrangement for a school's spirit week on NG. Definitely has the dynamics and energy that one can expect for such an event too!
As well, smooth transitions.

I think my most favorite aspects to this track is the high energy and dynamic, would you call it textures? You are quite masterful with musical elements, in my humble opinion!
I don't really care if its on the repetitive side- the energy keeps me listening!

Frankly, I am speechless. I am simply another huge fan of Final Fantasy and Nobuo's work.
I couldn't help but have a "fangasm" of sorts. (Now I feel silly typing that.)
I shall have gander at your other work now.
Author's Response:
haha AWESOME WORD! Fangasm!

"Ever more the nostalgia!"
Damn, just damn... I do so want to play this game again!
You may've guessed it at this point, but this was by far one of my most favorite tunes from the game (then maybe Geno's Forest.)

Final Fantasy 6 holds a special place for me... and I liked this tune for much the same reason as you described. (Curse you, now I want to play it again...)
I think you did Nobuo justice with your reinvention!

Things work in this track- not too discordant and yet pleasing to my ears, in my opinion. [I do like the genre.]
Not that I think it needs it desperately, but, I wonder- do you ever think of lyrics when you write music or just in terms of melody, rhythm, and such?
[I am a little curious as to why you're referencing Art History... just something fairly random?]
Author's Response:
Thanks man. Yeah the title is random.
I write lyrics when I'm writing for my band. But even then it's only after I've got the song done usually.
